Today, Xiaomi announced its flagship phone, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, in which the company is cooperating with Leica to develop cameras, after the partnership between Huawei and Leica was dissolved.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra phone comes with a 6.73-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 and a refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz to save power and support Dolby Vision TrueColor, HDR10+ and HDR10 technologies, its lighting reaches up to 1,500 nits, and the screen is manufactured by Samsung.
The phone comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 8 and 12 GB RAM, 256 and 512 GB internal storage, and a UFS 3.1 internal chip.
The phone comes with a 4,860 mAh battery with support for fast charging of 67 watts, fast wireless charging of 50 watts and reverse charging of 10 watts. The Xiaomi Surge P1 chip is present to help improve the charging process, as well as the Surge G1 chip to manage the battery and improve its life.
The phone comes with a 50.3-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, an 8-layer lens, and f/1.9 lens slot. Focusing on improving the lighting and shadows in photos, the second is Leica Vibrant Look, and Xiaomi combined its artificial intelligence in the imaging process with the ability of Leica to provide more professional and saturated images.
The camera app also has Leica filters such as Leica Vivid, Leica Natural, Leica BW Natural, and Leica BW High Contrast.
The second camera in the phone is a wide-angle 48-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor and f/2.2 lens slot, and the third camera for optical zoom is 48-megapixel camera and a Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/4.1 lens slot and offers a hybrid optical zoom of up to 120x and a 32-megapixel front camera.
The phone is IP68 water and dust resistant, comes with a fingerprint reader integrated with the screen, stereo speakers, and runs Android 12.
The phone will be available for pre-order today in China, to be available for sale there on July 8, at a starting price of $ 896.
