Translate Voiceover AI-Generated Ads Feature sh-ba7r.com

Whoa, look at this…

Translate Voiceover

I spotted a new feature called Translate Voiceover, and it could be amazing.

What Is It?

Here’s how Meta describes it:

Translate your original voiceover from English to other languages, so your ad can reach audiences in their preferred language.

This is an Advantage+ Creative enhancement that’s currently in testing. It takes your video’s voiceover and automatically translates it into another language. For now, it’s just English to Spanish.

So, if my video here were a Meta ad, it would replace my audio with a Spanish version. There’s no documentation on this, so that’s how I interpret it.

It Was Only a Matter of Time

If I’m right, this is a lot like a tool I tried over a year ago called HeyGen.

I speculated then that this is something that Meta could end up doing natively. And here we are.

This could make videos infinitely more accessible across languages, assuming the translations are done well. It’s one thing to have translated captions. But translated audio is another level.

Will the translated audio sound like the original speaker, like with HeyGen? Or will it use generic voices? This will matter.

Where to Find It

I haven’t seen an example of this yet, and it appears to have started on May 19th — or at least in my account. I found this within Advertising Settings under Advantage+ Creative. If you have it, this is one of the options in a section to Test New AI Generation Features.

I can’t wait to see where this goes. Have you seen an example of this yet in the wild?
